Broadview Public School

Most of Broadview Public School in Ottawa's Westboro neighbourhood was demolished in early 2017.  A new school was constructed during the 2015-2106 academic year and opened its doors to students in September 2016.  This collection of photos chronicles the demolition of the school.  The very first building on the site was built in 1916 but burned down in 1926.  The oldest existing part of the school, constructed in 1927, was designated by the city as a heritage property in 2015 and left standing, with the expectation that it will be used for some future community or school purpose.About
